See you soon

JANICE, VERNICE AND HARVEY ARE INVITING THE WHOLE COUNTRY DOWN

2026 is a big year for the City of Albany. The calendar is chock-full of events to mark both the town’s ancient Menang history and 200 years of settlement.

Albany’s salt-of-the-earth attitude sets it apart from other tourism destinations down south. People really do stop to say hello as you walk past. And given these people created Albany 2026, we figured it was only fair they were the ones to invite the rest of Australia down to enjoy it.

See You Soon is a fully integrated invitation from Albany to the rest of Australia. Every face on screen, voice and piece of handwriting belongs to a real local, most of whom had never been in front of a camera before. That same spirit runs through every part of the campaign. The film introduces the people behind the invitations. Outdoor puts their handwritten words up for everyone to see. Radio hands the microphone to voices that had never been heard on air before. Even the campaign stamp was custom-designed and handprinted — because no invitation is complete without one.

The result is quite possibly the largest invitation Australia has ever seen. Not from a tourism board, a production company or a cast of actors, but from the people who make Albany what it is.
